Dose anyone know how to remove mushrooms? I've tried to remove it by rubbing the base of the mushroom.

Any ideas?

I would be more worried about how to remove that aiptasia.

But to answer your question, I have had luck getting under the base with a very small flathead screwdriver, the kind used to fix glasses. Just take your time and start peeling up the base, try to remove it in a single piece. Leaving a fragment behind will produce another mushroom.

Best to attempt this method before the lights come one, that way the shroom is mostly retracted. GL

Thanks I'll give that a try..
Yea the mushroom is touching the dogitata so it's killing everything it touches..

About the aiptasia it's all over the tank. I'm looking into getting a file fish I think it is or shrimp.

You might want to consider fragging that monti into several sections to try and save the rest of the colony. That way you can remove it from the mushroom (is it a ricordea?) and the aiptasia and place it in a more safe location so it can heal.

I would personally frag what's left of your corals that your ricordia is touching and try removing it that way. Mushrooms need there own rock island or pvc to grow or they will take over like sneaky ninjas lol definitely do something about that aptasia or that will grow faster then the mushroom is spreading
Good luck

I had an invasion of the fuzzy shrooms. Kalk paste will do them in.

Even non fuzzy shrooms can present issues, and they will split detach and float around your tank.

I'll pick up some kalk paste tomorrow. Do I just inject it into it?
