mushrooms and MH

Just added two 250 DE MH lights on my tank. I noticed my mushrooms are not looking good. Ever since i added the lights the mushrooms look like they are all shrivled up during the middle of the day. What should i do. They are already on the bottem of my tank. (90 gallon). Thanks

raise your lights or shorten your photoperiod... You may also consider building them some shade.... like an overhang.... You can also put a coral that likes light above them (leather, xenia)

Sorry, you want your shrooms to live. Mine did that too, but after a few weeks they were back to normal. They are multiplying even faster under the stronger light........ARRRRRRRGH!

All but my hairy mushrooms died when I upgraded my halides. I would try and create a low light zone in your tank if you want shrooms...

my shrooms do fine under the halides: Purple, red, purple with green spots, green and redish striped..etc.

I think they just need ot be acclimated ot new lights. I have 250DE, and they came from a guy with 400s.
