Mushrooms on sand bed

So I took one of my flourescent green mushrooms and put it on the sand bed. Will it kind of attach itself to the bed at all or will it just lay on top of it? I've seen some tanks where there is a good colony of mushrooms on the sand and I like that look. Any thoughts?

crush up a peice of rock into very small peices and scatter them around the area of the shroom so it has somthing more to hold onto instead of sand . If you tank is pure sand and no crushed coral even if it does grab on to some sand it will blow away or be forced to move sooner or later

its best to try to attach them to something. otherwise you'll be missing a mushrom one day

That's a good idea about crushing up rocks on the sand, I've been thinkin of going for the same theme in covering the bottom with rics.
