Hi, I work in a LFS and we sell captive bred Ocellaris, false percula.
I see them coming and going and a lot of them have different stripes and patterns. Today a bag arrived and in it were the most varied bunch I ever saw.
2 were yellow :eek2:, a few missed the black parts in their pattern completely and one of them had two white dots on his back and a normal white ring round his neck. No stripes on his body
I own a 2,5 inch wild caught Ocellaris and plan on buying a mate for it. But I wonder, should I buy a mutant or a perfect fish? I plan on breeding them in the future but that will take a while.
I'd love to see if the yellow stay yellow and the red one without the stripes stays that way. But I can only buy one and a perfect fish is also hard to find these days.
Why are there so many mutants? Is that the way it goes in the wild or are they interbreeding them and planning on the mutants?
