i went with a rubble bottom inspired by dave and dustin. flow will come from 2 swirls and alternating sequence pumps. i have 2 250 watt 20k lights so it's a little blue.

thanks for looking. ramiro

Is this post-Katrina? I am just not feeling the whole rubble bottom thing. I want to see this in person because I bet it looks better than in the pictures. Sorry. Just being honest.

It looks alright, mine will just look 10 times better, since your's is just a copy.

OUCH! :D

Great start Ramiro....I think you have plenty of rubble:D
Since you couldnt cook the rocks longer, make sure your blowing around the rubble every day for as long as you can. Use a filter sock if you have one. If not, your going to end up with alot of Detritus buildup and problems. Rock sheds alot in the beginning.
Oh yeah, I cant really tell from the pic, but can you cave up that left pile a bit more? ;)

if you can finish painting, get it home, plumb and put some water and get rocks you might get it to look 10 times better.

i am liking it even more just because your not feeling it.

I tell you what, I like the rubble bottom. There's no worries with fallen snails or frags. Hell, plant the bottom in zoas and let 'em rip, then sell the frags to fund a new car!

He is just jealous. He has 13 tanks in his house and not one of them is intentionally a rubble bottom:D

p.s. If anyone has a tank for sale Rendos is looking for one to set a "New Orleans" style tank:fun2:

I only have 5 right now...thank you very much.

How is your freshwater tank going? Lots of neon tetras and corydoras? I just can't believe you have a 120 gallon with 2 closed loop pumps, sump, skimmer, MH lighting and such for neons...what's up with that?
