Well i have finally had time to set up my AP and have had it running for about three weeks now. I set this up to take the place of my 10g. It will be mainly Euphillia (sp?) with zoa's, other lps and one monti that i currently have. I stupidly made the mistake of getting the current nano skimmer and junked it almost a week after. I did although use the pump for the time being as a power head to increase flow where the monti will be!

I also added legs to the stand at each corner to aid in support, plus i think it looks nice!

This is my first time posting pics so ill try to get them right.
Let me know what you think about the aquascaping also. This was how it turned out after the first attempt and i love how it looks. Its about 30 lbs of rock with some Araganite sand (not sugar fine) that i had. The cycle is going well and i hope i can add things slowly here soon!

The tank looks a little cloudy because i just cleaned it up a little bit, and added the powerhead and it stirred up some stuff.

im finally through my cycle and i am starting to add a clean up crew slowly. I started with three scarlet hermits and two astreas. I plan to add probably one turbo snail and some nasarrius and cerith (sp?).

Also i was looking into getting a blue harlequin for this tank. I am not running a skimmer anymore. I know they eat starfish only and was wondering if their eating habbits would pollute the tank to much. I will be doing weekly 2.5 gallon water changes and im running chemi-pure. What are your thoughts on that?

i understand they eat chocolate stars and also linkia stars, and i know that they slowly kill them so im trying to figure out if having a starfish dying every month or two in my tank will pollute it too much

they are really beautiful but every month, you're going to have starfish insides all over your substrate, and those things never goes away. they are very territorial and grumpy too, especially in a 24g.

is there anybody who has kept them in a nano though? I assume syphoning out the starfish bits off the substrate would help right? I would really love to have a pair. I think they are some of the coolest and most beautiful animals. Im thinking about having them and my two clowns and thats it. im assuming they would leave my clowns alone because my clowns dont care about much but food so... still a thought but i want to get some!!!!
