I have a bag of carbon running which is propped up by a handful of bioballs in the back chamber. I wouldn't have the bioballs but I never got around to making a tray to hold the carbon and they worked for that purpose.

At one point I had a tunze 9002 but it was crap, and I took it out about 9 months ago and never noticed a difference in my tank.

Very nice and mature tank keep it going. No problem with the halide so close to the water surface?

It's an LED so no problems with heat.

That is an incredible hammer. Have you had any issues with sweeper tentacles from the hammer?

Thanks, I haven't had any issues. Its pretty isolated in the corner of the tank though.
