My 72g

Hi Everyone,

I've been lurking around this site for a few years now and have learned a lot from this community. I'm just over the border in PA and thought I'd share my 72g mixed reef. The tank has been up for a little over three years now. I'm just starting to plan an upgrade to a 180 in-wall build, but it will be a very slow process.

Hello to you Award212 and welcome to the boards. I love that cap on the upper left. Looks like it has been fraged many many times at the bottom lol. And by the way I'm just over the line into Pa as well in Great Bend.

Welcome to the gang! Looks good. What is the greenish coral? that the clowns are in front of in the picture? Looks pretty cool. Also the large branching coral in the centerish? It has really cool looking growth.

The "greenish coral" is a Goniopora. I've had it for almost 2 years now. It's not really happy right now. I need to move it to an area with lower flow. I just recently added a Vortech MP40 and it's not liking the higher flow. When it's fully extended it's about 12" in diameter. The clowns took to it when I had to remove their anemone a while back. Every once in a while it drops off a "baby" and I end up with a new small one.

The large branching coral is a green Stylophora. I started with a 2" frag of it a year ago. It grows like a weed and has been fragged many times.

Thanks Dave, I'm in Sayre. The green cap has been fragged a few times, but the area you're talking about is shaded by the rest of it so it grows extremely slow.
