Hey everyone!
I'll start with a bit of specifics. Tanks been set up for probably a month and a half or two months now. Have two firefish in the tank which have been in there about a week, along with 3 peppermint shrimp which devoured some aiptasia I had in a matter of hours and haven't seen since. Along with a small CUC of 5 red legged hermits 5 astrea snails and 5 nasarius snails. Give or take a snail and crab or two. Can never tell the difference between molt and dead crab! Anyways not important.
I do not have a sump to start with. I have a canister filter which I know isn't recommended. I clean the canister quite often, it has a small amount of bio media and the basic stuff that it came with. I've recently ordered some carbon and gfo in case I decide to use the canister to soak up some nutrients. I realize of course these things can accumulate nitrates and can be harmful however I do a really thorough cleaning weekly sometimes more often to prevent a nitrate factory. I have a remora c hang on skimmer rated for 75 gallon. Seems to collect about half a cup of really wet skimmate daily. I empty its collection cup daily.
For water circulation I have 2 Nano Koralias 425gph pushing water from the back of the tank angled towards the front center of the tank. They are on either side left and right both blowing towards the front center. I also have a Koralia 565 on the left glass wall of the tank blowing across the front glass somewhat pointed towards the surface to perfom some surface agitation. Recently I added a Koralia Evo 1050/1150 on the right glass which replaced a 1560 gph sunsun noisemaker I decided to return. The evo is also pointed towards the surface blowing across the front glass.
This leads me to my question. I have two firefish currently and would like to eventually add a pair of black occelarus clowns. I hear they are not the best swimmers but then I also hear that the ocean is much more reckless and turbulent than we could EVER create in our tanks without overheating them from all the motors running.

I wont count the skimmer because the flow created by that is really gentle
calculates to like 38.2x tank turnover.
I know they always say rules of thumbs are guidelines and not strict rules... I just don't want to put something in my tank and see it get swept around like a whirlwind. Will a clownfish pair adapt to high flow conditions? The flow is really high on the top area and lower towards the sand and plenty of places to hide in the rocks where flow would be lower.
