My 90gal reef livestock yes or no?

Hello everyone i have a 90gal reef tank up and running. Currently have
2 cleaner shrimp
1 randall gobie
2 firefish
1 snowflake clown
1 harlequin serpent star
Few scarlet hermits and mix of snails

I would like to add
1 yellow tang
1 more clown (maybe)
1 mandarin (after the tank becomes more established, i know about all the mandarin requirements)

I have done research on everything, mostly on this site, but still wondering what you all think of this list and the below possible additions i feel i need more opinions on
1 royal gramma
Candy cane pistol
Rbta
Porcelain crab

Maybe on the tang. If you add a second clown make sure it's much smaller and hopefully still male. I would avoid the pistol and crab. Obviously wait a looooong time for the mandy. Don't know much about harlequin serpent but make sure it's not predatory. Looks like a good stock list though

Only thing to watch for is adding the clown since they aren't mated they will kill each other

I would recommend against the yellow tang in your tank as it is too small. Instead I would recommend getting one of the bristletooth tangs instead. I personally really like the tominiensis. Adding another clownfish would be fine. Just be aware that they do get fairly agressive when in mature pairs. Mine even bite my hands sometimes. Royal grammas can also get pretty aggressive depending on which one you are talking about. Pictichromis dinar are usually more agressive than gramma loreto.

Thanks for the replies. Its a blk/wht banded star it defiantly ate a snail but im pretty sure the snail was either dead or really close already. The goby seems happy without the pistol shrimp, just like the relationship they have. Do you have any experience with a porcelain crab? T Haynes

no but a lot of crabs in general will eat any thing. especially if not fed properly. they are scavangers after all

Pictichromis dinar isn't a Royal Gramma, it's a bicolor dottyback and is very aggressive as you pointed out. But should never be confused with a Royal Gramma.

Having a pistol/goby combo is pretty cool, I'd say go for that. Also, as others say, make sure the clown is much smaller to hopefully avoid having two females in the tank. Royal Grammas are cool, I'll be adding one to my tank soon for sure.

Yes, a 90 gallon is too small for a Yellow Tang, but people still do it anywhere and wonder why the Tang becomes so aggressive after awhile. As Tangs mature they require more space and territory and they will do anything by all means necessary to get it.

just go with the tomini. dont buy a fish planning to upgrade tank or trade later. you never know what will happen

IMO the size of the fish does not matter. ANY yellow tang will need a tank of 100 gallons or larger no matter the size of the fish. I think that the concept of 'sell the fish when it gets bigger' is a bad idea as the fish still require the same amount of swimming space regardless of size.

Ok thanks for the advice, ill hold off untill i find a kole or tomini that catches my eye. another question! I had a bunch of pods now i see see quite a few mysids (and definatly saw one eat a small pod)and far less pods. Do you guys think the pod population will rebound? Reminder i do not have a mandarin lol i do plan to get one in the future (no set time, i have patience)

Some serpent stars can be fish killers when they get large, just a warning. I'm unfamiliar with your species of serpent starfish though.
