My Achilles Tang

Finally, after 14 monthes I got my Achilles tang back from Aquarium Designs. I had been asking for it back for over a year. I put it in the back SPS frag tank when phillip was there, While I was changing tank from my old 125g to my new 65g. I keep asking Tein to try to catch it, but it never happened. Then I was told they would get it out when they cleaned the tanks a couple of weeks ago. And again no Achilles. Well this past tuesday I went to get it back, and I wasn't leaving without it. I took out ever piece of coral and all the egg crate to get back my fish. And I did, it took me less than 20 mins from start to finish. Now here comes the real problem, in the past 12 monthes I have added new fish to my 65g - Powder Blue Tang, Regal Tang, Red Sea Sailfin Tang, Gold spotted Rabbitfish, flame angel, six-line wrasse and a few others. The achilles is now the Boss and everyone else seems to get along just fine. But I'm expecting to come home one day and the only fish left alive will be the Achilles. So if I can catch one of the other tangs I will be give them away. I'm going after the Red-Sea Sailfin. If anyone wants him just let me know, he's pretty good size.

Woody hate to hear about your experience, but glad your back in possesion of your tang. On the sailfin, I can't help you I have a purple tang and he won't have anything else in the tank with him that even looks close to his size or body. I even tried a fox face he wasn't having it. We are working on a tank for a school, but unfortately it has a yellow tang already in place and I wouldn't want to add a sailfin with it. But anyway wanted to bump you back to the top your thread was quickly knocked down and I am sure there is someone out there that wants a tang.

How big is the fish? Is it reef safe? Will it bother a lawnmower blennie? Where are you located?

Am I reading right? You've got 4 tangs and a rabbit fish in a 65g??? Well, taking one out is a really good move, IMO. Wish I could take him off your hands, but both my tanks are stuffed to the gills already. Good luck!

Hey Aaron, I'll take him off your hands. (edit: if Tim doesn't get him) I traded in my YT on a Copperband, and of course he starved after he took out all my aiptasia.

I have been looking at getting a rabbitfish, so if you decide you want to get rid of the goldspot, let me know...

Yep, Still moving. Hope to be gone by June, pending if melissa gets a job. I will try to catch the rabbit and sailfin. Both are about 4"-5" not to big. Both eat pellet food. Just PM your number and I will call you when I catch them.

If Zack falls through I could give it a run in my 120. I have a powder blue and yellow tang "6 months" and they are pretty happy; the powder blues about the same size as your archillies.

any word on the fish how are they doing? You could always take it back to aquarium designs right? Or maybe sarris, they have a 40 it would be okay in by itself and for or five larger tanks it might enjoy-

The achilles killed the powder blue today. We all knew that was going to happen. Oh' well.... I would much rather have the achilles anyway. I still haven't got any other ones out, I got the hooks but no line. I hope to have it out by monday but we will see.

The others are ok. A red sea sailfin, regal, Achilles & a gold spotted rabbitfish
