9 days into the cycle, this little one has a little brother on the very bottom of the pic. They were inside the LR when I purchased everything. They are strong little guys, and have lasted out the cycle.
That little guy looks like an aptasia. A pest anemone that reproduces quickly and stings everything that it is next to.
I suggest you take it out before it decides to start splitting. You can use Kalk in a paste form to kill it or you can try to pry it out of the spot it is in but make sure you get it all out or you will find more with in a short time.

If your rock is not cured would suggest scrubbing as much organic matter off of the rocks. Most of it will die off during the cycle but will regenerate once the tank is established. You'll be surprized when all of the things start growing back. If the rock is cured already then leave it.
Yep your right, thats exactly what it is. So I have to inject it with boiling water and calcium hydroxide. What is and where do you get calcium hydroxide? Is it harmful to anything else in the tank?
Yep they are already cured LR, so no I didnt scrub them. What is the green leafy stuff on the other rock. Will the clean up crew get rid of that once I can get them in?
Thats some awesome looking rock. Love the orange coraline. There are also a variety of products avail to kill them. Do a search on here and you will find a million posts on how to kill them. I used joes juice, and it worked great. They spread so fast! If your injecting, try to actually stick it in the anemone. Its hard because they like to retract back into the rocks. Calcium hydroxide is kalkwasser. It is sold in a lfs and is highly overpriced. Its hard to find at a local store in its cheap form called mississippi lime, but can be found online. But you dont have time for that. Goto the lfs and buy a small jar of the $$$ kalk!
its macroalgae, probally caulpera, but im not one to id specifics well. some fish will eat it, but prob none you can fit in a 24g. Just pull it off, you prob wont get it all, but you just have to keep pruning it back.
Thats what im here for . I cant setup my own tank right now, but nothing can stop me from helping others set up theirs. And BTW your aquascaping is great also. Lots of little caves for your fish to shoot in and out of. Dont change a thing! I especially like ledge made by the aptasia rock.
It took about 5-6 tries to get all my LR in the way I wanted it. I like the caves and ledges too. I want to put either frogspawn or an anemone upon the ledge for the clowns to play in, once i get them.
I looked up caulpera on google, and it doesnt look like that. It had stalks and long leaves, this stuff I have looks kinda like a lettuce, curly and short leaves.
