usually its nestled between a section of rock, as of late its moved towards where my true percs hang out... they wont go near it, i do weekly water changes and am doing a 30% tommorrow.. if the bulkbs dont suffice please lmk as i will buy new bulbs and the coralife is an actinic 420

The H. aurora is looking much better. The gig has a ways to go, but if you're noticing some coloring up, that's certainly a good sign. T-5 lighting should be sufficient. From what I've read, brand name makes a real difference with T-5s. ATI and UVL are brands that consistently perform well. Pure actinic is probably of little value, but something like ATI AquaBlue Plus casts a blue light and is very high in PAR value.

i have an extra 12000k daytime bulb should i replace one of the actinic blues with that?
