My ASM G3 is starting to scare me!!!

This has happened from 10 PM last night to 10 PM this morning.

Im affraid its gonna eat me in the middle of the night :eek2: :eek2: :eek2: Somebody stop it before it takes over the world!!!

I dont think ill ever own another skimmer thats not an ASM, I am SOLD!!

The only skimmers that I have seen preform better than the ASM's or Euroreefs are Deltecs. I have never seen a bubble king in action but they are suposed to be good as well. I know my ASM G2 was pulling out "mud" when I had it in a sump with a very high water level. Working against little or no head allows the skimmer to be much more efficien and pull out a lot of gunk. I know there are mods to do this but haven't seen them in a while. If anyone could post the link I would appreciate it.

a bubble king, H&S, Delktec, MRC, big ETS's, some other big downdrafts.......all better than ASM(but they are best under $300)

They step you through the gate valve and recirc mods on there.

I would take the ASM over any of those. BK, H&S, and Deltec are too damn expensive. You get the better performance, but not double to triple+ worth for the price. MRC, ETS and big downdrafts are too power hungry and loud and take up way too much space. JMO

they are sometimes bigger, but i have seen too many asm's pulling tea water.....with the bubbles not really starting until a few inches up in body. And the flimsy lids i don't like.
But , like i said, they are the best under $300.

always recommend asm over euro-reef


i have a deltec and have 2 fish and get a full cup everyday and no mods on it

problem with some skimmers is that after you spend the money on them you have to spend more to make them better when that should have been done before you bought it

like i said ASM over EUro-reef
