Just thought I would share a few pics of my first batch of Bangaii fry
I just happened to be up at 4 am one morning and noticed 2 babies swimming in the water column,i found another 3 hiding around the tank.
I turned the light on for 10 minutes and then switched it off and was able to catch the male while he was still trying to focus.
As soon as I moved him into the breeding net he spat the rest of them out.
That was like wow! all of them were in there!
I got 19 all up and all are doing really well in a little 12 gallon tank, they have doubled in size now since being released.I'm feeding them freshly hatched brine atm and currently growing some more out to different sizes for them as they grow.
I have a local retailer interested in them so I have decided to setup my spare 3' tank for breeding the pair I have.
I am going to drill 3 holes and build a central glass overflow and divide the tank into two,One side for the parents and one side for the fry.And build a small sump for all the goodies.
Also going to put a removable divider in for the parents so I can separate them to feed the male back up between batches.
He is already holding a second egg sack after only 6 days of releasing the first batch and I know he cant keep doing that
They are currently 10 days old at this point in time.
The pics of them are the day they were released(so cute)
