My big shroom is ripped.

I increased my flow and my shroom started to tear a few weeks later. I dropped him in my fuge where there is light flow to help him heal up. Is there any chance they can heal from a tear? I did get him to eat a piece of silerside tonight. He was sucked up but eat.

It was most likely splitting. I would have left it in the tank where it was. They can heal from being chopped into peices, a tear or just about anything. Flow is good.

So throw him back in? He did eat which I though was a good sign the only problem is the rock he is on is small just enough room for him really.

Place another rock next to the shroom so he can touch it, they have an amazing ability to move when the time is right. It may take a while but thats about the only option short of cutting it in half. Yes i would put him back in the main tank and try to get him to split to another rock. If your patientce run out use a brand new razor blade and give him a little help.

Sad day when I got home from work today the water was cloudy. I looked in the fuge and the shroom was starting to waste away. I put him in a bowl full of water. He smells really bad I think I lost him. he was my favorite piece in the tank. I have to get another but place him better. I think the flow was to much for him.
