My Calcium is too high. I was told not to dose anymore, possible for a few weeks or atleast until the levels come down. Is there any danger for the corals if level is too high.

well over 500 ,plus 3drops =(.03 mil) with the red sea tester so, 1mil plus 3 dops. and the instructions say if you use more than 1 mil and the color has not reached the color chart add, and its 3 dops more

I've never been a fan of Red Sea test kits. Is there any way you can take a sample to your LFS for testing? Either that or get some API or Salifert tests and re-check your levels. I always found it hard to use and read those tests, that's why I'm doubting the results... but you never know. ;)

What have you been dosing?

Recently I messed up when reprogramming my timers for my dosing pumps and accidentally pumped an entire bottle of b-ionic calcium into my heavily stocked 29 gallon reef. My calcium shot up into the 700s as a result. It killed a few montipora and some of chalices and some of my acros browned out as well. Other then that nothing too dramatic happened. I've stopped dosing Ca for now and am doing more frequent, smaller water changes to bring it back down slowly. Things are defnitely rebounding. I'm just glad it was my Ca that was overdosed and not my Alk, because if it were there is no doubt in my mind that it would've caused my tank to crash.
