My dream project underway!

Hello all!

Moving in with the new wife and somehow have duped my LOVELY bride into letting me run wild in the basement! The 2 single door garages will be replaced with 8' sliding glass doors and all walls brought down. I will be installing (2) identical 550 gallon acrylic tanks on epoxied I-beams supported by concrete block piers. They will appear as 6'x3' windows in the wall extending 4' into the wall. A 10'x4' equipment room will divide (and service) the two tanks. I will have 80 gal tanks under the main displays accessible from below the display. One will serve as a refugium/ Chaeto (macro algae) scrubber, the other as a frag grow out system. There will be a 75 gal tank set up as a quarantine and medication system. I have a custom 45 gal capacity Reeflo Hammerhead Needlewheel driven skimmer in the works and an awesome automated freshwater wash-down system designed.
Tank 1 will be focused on breeding Epaulette Sharks. I plan to house rays and eels as well! Tank 2 will be a mixed reef lagoon style. That is to say, moderate light, flow and nutrient levels. I will be posting pictures as the system comes along!
Keep up with the good work all!
And I am on the lookout for mature Eppie's if anyone knows of any in the area.

Wow !! Good luck with this. Can't wait to see the progress. What a wonderful woman you to allow that to go on. She got a sister LOL

Hey if you need some help give me a call, send PM for #. Sounds like fun. I have been working on turning a bedroom into a coral room and was just given permission to add a 20' room on to the house to make the room bigger. I have a witness to the fact so she can't change her mind now. prncalbrt was here and she told him herself.

Thanks all!
I will be taking regular pictures and likely putting together a DIY thread of sorts. Jason, thanks for the offer! I will likely need all the help I can get. Are you a finish carpenter? I intend to include a 12" wooden bar on korbels running the length of each tank. Maybe some built-in's...
