Got this T. Crocea at a LFS, it's my first clam.
I know it needs to be up in the rockwork, but it's under 2 250watt MH pendants about 6 inches off the surface of the water in a 65 gallong tank, which is 24 inches deep.
At the LFS it was in a huge, long display tank that is about 18 inches deep, which has 5 400 watt MH's over it (it's about 15 feet long) and their MH's are about 2 1/2 feet off the surface. The LFS said to place it on the sand for a few days, then slowly move it up so that it can acclimate to my lighting. Is that correct, even since their MH's are higher but are 400 watt? Is it going to attach to the eggcrate on the bottom of the tank? The sandbed is about 3 inches deep where the clam is right now.
