****I was wondering if anyone here has any small tanks that they dont need any more. I need smaller then 10. So a 5 or 7 if they make such sizes. Also if someone Local in sac has a dremel tool I could use for the tank, Matt did mine but I am looking for local at the moment ****

I am going to add a refugium under my 12g nano ( oh boy here comes the DIY), and the opening is smaller then a 10gallon tank by maybe 3inches on the length. So thats why i need something smaller.

Im going to add the tank there, and Drill a hole Half way down the back side of the tank for an overflow that I would add to the corner of the tank with some aycrilic peices.

Then my plans are to drill the 2 upper corners of the tank and have a Mag2 pump(rated at 275,3 foot head is 170) down in the tank with some 1/4 -1/2 pipe (note sure what size would be best) with a splitter that comes off into 2 pipes and hook those up to the top 2 corners of the tank, which will be for my flow.

And those are my Plans... What ya guys think?

Sorry i don't have extra small tank but your plans seem good. Keep us updated how it goes.. I've seen some 5 gal tanks around for like 10 dollars..

You could either use an AGA standard 5.5 or a minibow 7.

You can also use a rubbermaid tub for a fuge. You can fit a Lights of America PC to the lid with a simple cut-out and drill holes for in/out hoses. There was a link here somewhere with pics...

WEll im gonna go to home depot tomorrow and price out some wood and Make a stand and Canopy for it.... Since I have 2 extra 10g tanks sitting in my backyard.

Hmmm never done a canopy before, this should be interesting... LOL

I might try the tub idea, Ill pass it on to my wife and see what she says.
