My First DSLR!

I finally took the plunge and purchased my first DSLR. It is a Nikon D3100 and I use an AF-S Micro Nikkor 105mm. I am aslo new Macro. I played around a little an decided to share a few pics that turned out pretty decent. All shots are as-is with no post production (still waiting on getting Photoshop). I look forward on learning this camera and macro photograpy in general over the next few months.

Very impressive! I have that camera and have been having a ball with it on wildlife. I decided to put my money into a long lens rather than a macro. Tho the macro is still on my wish list.

I wouldn't call them 'great' yet...but thanks for the compliment!! I have lots to learn with photography, especially with macro and am very excited to include this with my reef addiction.
