I just picked up my first mantis shrimp. I hope to have pics soon. He is a little over three inch long peacock. I have him in a temp tank right now. The permanent one is still being worked on.
I have been trying to leave him be for now. I want him to get used to the new place. He is looking real skittish right now. I threw in a tiny brown leg hermit crab, but I don't think he has spotted it yet.
I think I'm going to name it Gustave, from the primevil movie.
I'm pretty excited so far.
So far I've seen him kick up a flurry of sand as he made a place to hide under one of the LR.
