Hey guys , I got tired of seeing my xenia suffer, in my 240 gallon , mainly cause there is a little bit of tap water still in there, although , I have been doing water changes awhile now with rodi water, So I put the xenia in a 10 gallon tank, and have beeing doing 20 percent water changes every other 3 days, and my xenia is PULSING MUCH more rapidly than it ever did in the big tank.

is it ok to have a tank like this for just growing xenia?

THe only livestock I have in there are , 3 nassarius snails, and I was thinking about maybe getting a 1-4 hermits, but thats all I want

as I want this water to stay very very clean.

Even though I have heard that xenia doesnt mind dirty water, It acts like it likes this super clean water rather than my 240 gallon stocked tank.

Hi there marinerules,
The Xenia should be fine in the 10g especially if you are just going to use it to raise the xenia-no fish just xenia and like you said inverts like snails & hermits. Remember, Xenia's grow pretty rapidly so you will have to watch that in such a small tank (10g). Also, keep your water as clean as possible (DONT USE TAP) and be on top of those water changes-dont be lazy ;) Good Luck!

yeah , well i was just doing those frequent water changes due to it have some tap in the water as i moved the xenia over to the 10 gallon with the water from the big tank as well as the sand , so I was trying to get it all tap haha

I wonder if I could add anythign to make it grow even faster since its in such a small area , additives could work better than they do in a LARGE tank , where skimmers ect get ahold of it
