My First Ric.

This was sold to me as an Orange Yuma, but it seems to have other colors. Such as several greens and some blue on the ends:

Anyone know how long it should take to attach to the rock I placed it on? It was detached when I got it so I found a small rock to place it on.

Yikes, don't know why I said yuma in the first post. Probably because I had just finished looking at some. Thanks for correcting me and for the info.

My first, and still splitting, ricordia. I bought two attached to a piece of rock, and seven years later I have almost twenty from the originals. Under the right conditions these guys do well in our aquariums. Congrats!

I am really glad to hear that everyone has so much luck with these. This one will stay on my frag rack until I can get a baby from it. I don't like to add small pieces of coral on my rock until I have a back up.

Laddy- Are the orange rics in your 60G with the VHOs? I have 4 VHOs on my 35G. Do you know where the rics do best at in the tank? I currently have them towards the top since they were in a tank that had MHs. I don't want them to loose color.

I have rics under VHOs. I have them about 20 inches under the light (but my tank is larger), about midway down in the tank. Mine never lost color at all.

Mine took a while to settle in enough to split. I think it took about 8 months, and then they just started splitting regularly. It was a new tank, and they were some of my first corals.
