My fish has a huge pimple...(pic)

I know its a bad pic, but its the black front half of a bi-color blenny. Nothing remarkable except a large bump with a white spot in the middle. All tank parameters are good, no abnormal behavior, wasn't there yesterday. Thoughts?

Id say its just ick =) and if it where me I'd most likely just use garlic xtreme while feeding to treat it

Hello All,

Thanks for the input. The lesion has changed a bit over the course of its existence. It started to look much more like a wound and is now healing. I had just introduced 3 arrow crabs into the aquarium, and now think that he may have tangled with one of them, and got speared. I saw him tangling with one that got too near his seashell. Its just anecdotal evidence, nothing concrete, but I certainly wonder about the possibility....

are arrow crabs very aggressive? they aren't reef safe right?

yes they are. they will go at coral and be a danger to smaller fish.



Hard to see with the pic but can always be safe and try garlic treatment...yummy
