Nice find!! I catch those around here fairly often. The smallest one I've caught was the size of a fingernail.

Your going to love keeping a puffer, so much personality

Yup, my Stars and Stripes has a great personality...very friendly and eats like a pig LOL!

Nearly all puffers eat like pigs, mine will follow me when I pass the tank and wriggle its tail like a puppy!:spin1:

So good, there's only porcupine puffers(Diodon holocanthus) in my area.

Your going to have fun with that puffer. I have one in my reef and he doesn't bother my two cleaner shrimp, corals or my clam. The problem with the spiny burrfish is getting them to eat at first and the spiny also is very prone to ich and internal parasites. In the last year mine had to go through two hypo for ich belly got real flat because of internal parasites and happen to get a bacterial infection. My water parameter are great as I am faithful to my maintenance I have 3 tangs including a power brown that all are fat and healthy never had ich outbreak. Personally I don't think its the right puffer for anyone as it requires a lot of attention and time but I love mine and good luck.

It's so good that your puffer won't bother crustaceans, mine will turn frantic when it sees any lifeform with shells!! Thanks for you sharing the precious info on this fish, I will try my best to prevent ich.

Yes I have him with various snails two cleaner shrimp various softies and lps corals and a clam him or my trigger don't bother anything which I'm thankful for. The main problem is the internal parasites so all of his food I soak in selcon make sure he eats good but here is a video he loves to be cleaned daily by both cleaners
