looks great but i would like to inform you of the problem associated with black sand as it will usually turn red in color ,if it does remove it and replace it with aragonite or sand white in color . there is alot of the black stuff out there that is metallic in structure and will start rusting so beware . other than that it looks like you have a good thing going there and keep it up !

Looks like you're quickly running out of real estate there. Even though you have some none Z&Ps in there, we won't hold that against you. Nice looking tank.

:thumbsup:looks great:thumbsup:......i liked having black sand but like iamwrasseman said mine started to turn color so it had to go.....mine actually turned into what looked like brown mud....go figure...:sad2:.

Awesome! Looks great. I love the zoa garden look.

Interesting about the black sand. Learn something new every day...

thanks guys..i'll work on some better pictures,The zoa/paly colonies have way better colors that are shown..

Also i got most of those frags into a frag tank to clean up the 120 abit :)But just as I thought i would I have a burning desire to fill in every bare spot i see lol..It has to be a sickness lol

I've been using black sand for over 2 years now and it's never turned red.

I have never had any sand turn red or rust out and have used just about every brand over the years.

Perhaps what you used was a substrate for planted tanks (fluorite black sand) that contain iron for better plant growth.

i definatly used the wrong stuff cause if i had it in there for two years it would have been red rum for sure . i love the look but just had a bad experience . best to ya in your endevors !

looks great man!! how long before they started spreading in the tank? i added some to my tank and want them to take off like that too!!!! im still tinkering with finding them good flow and light to make them grow big and have many babies. :D :D

The 'garden" type zoas and palys really fast,If you start with a mini colony or a little larger they will spread like weeds(under the right conditions of coarse)

It's when you start from a polyp or two it becomes a pain lol and it also depends on the type you are growing, some kinds can be really finicky ..
