Hey I purchased a Blue Line Grouper a few weeks ago, and immediately I noticed some white spots which appeared to be ich. I gave him a fresh water medicated dip, and put him in my quarintine tank. I treated his tank with copper sulfate, and he has been doing great for the last couple weeks ( eating good, no spots and excellent color).
So yesterday I figured he was ok to introduce back into my display tank. I put him in, he looked good and hid behind some rocks for the night. The next day I noticed he had some wierd white spots and his color wasnt that good. ( Light color blotches)
I was nervous that he would infect the others in my main tank, so I caught him, dipped him again and put him back in the quarintine tank. He looks good again now (no spots)
My question is; do these groupers get spots like this naturally?
why does his color go back to normal once in the q. tank? Do you think he still has ich? My fish in the display tank show no signs of the disease. thanks.
