Its normal for them to be open during the times it typically senses food. If you would feed at night as frequently as you do during the day, it will stay open more at night. You are good.
Speaking from experience, if you keep feeding at night with the lights off, they may "train" to close during the day and open only at night - which if you want them to open with the lights on, will necessitate you re-training them.
