My Hippo Tang

Ive Noticed that around my tangs face, it is missing scales and i see white patches where there missing. I know this is not normal. How long do they generally take to heal?

HLLE is caused by improper care/nutrition/stress. What are you feeding him now and can you give some tank info? Water levels? HLLE can be solved in some cases by feeding the fish a more proper diet. Could be many things that caused your tang to get HLLE. One more question- Are you running carbon?

im not running any carbon yet, however all my water paprameters such as Ammonia and Nitrite are 0. He Has been Eating But I Used to have a Panther grouper in the tank until i recently gave him away to my friend due to the fact i am doing a full blown reef and cant have it, also my tank was too small for it. Hes been Eating Pretty well, he doesnt shy away from eating at all. Ive been feeding him Formula Two and Hikarki Mairne A Which It Loves, Any Suggesstions

My Tang looks alitle bit better today around the face, i hope its healing any suggestions wud be appreciated

feed your hippo seaweed soaked in selcon, or feed them broccoli.
