Latest addition I bought today a Red Scribbled Blenny Blenny (Cirripectes stigmaticus), Ignore the white spot it was on the tank glass and the pic was taken in the LFS.

Nice find! I'm kind of a Blenny freak and currently have eight species. Never heard of that one until now. Beautiful patterning.

You figure out what it likes to eat?

Only been in about 6 hours and it's yet to put in an appearance. However it needs plenty of algae and is reported to eat some meaty foods. They are a very shy fish so it might be some days before I can observe it properly.

Ember blenny's are cool!

However I think I read that those red colors are only stress coloration? Dkuhlmann had a thread on these a while back. I may be mistaken, but there was a reason he didn't end up buying one.

I am too, but was under the impression they would fight? How do you keep 8 with out pistols at dawn?

I doubt very much that is true to be honest. Everything I have read on them (and I have done a lot of seraching about them) does not suggest that. However we will see over the coming weeks how it turns out once settled in fully.

Rooting for you!
Sorry reading back over my post made me sound rude. My apologies.

Lol. I keep eight species in three separate systems.

40 Breeder: Pictus, Two-spot, Caribbean Sailfin and Barnacle Blenny. All are smaller, rather peaceful species. I only have one of each species, but I can add more since I have ample spaces in the 60 pounds of rock for them.

150G: Lawnmower and Tail-spot Blenny. I wouldn't add another large, algae-eating Blenny, but I can surely add more of the smaller species.

29 Cube: Blue-dashed and Midas Blenny. They mostly keep out of each other's hair, except at mealtime when they often fight for the same piece of mysis. They're from different genera and I don't plan on adding another Blenny in there; it could be risky.

I think the key is species selection, making sure each can claim their own territory and small, frequent feedings throughout the day.

Mr Blenny has put in an appearance today and is eating, still a bit shy which is understandable however, I did manage a quick pic of him with his head sticking out of a hole in the rock. Sorry about the quality as I used my phone and had to zoom in on it as quickly as I could. I am sure over the next few days I will be able to get some better pic's of him.
