Not to bad for what I would guess to be a few hours work.
I would have never thought there are Polyodon Spathula (paddlefish) in Lake Springfield.
Get any caviar or is it to early? lol
Very nice catch!!

man, I bet there was 5 or 6 lbs of eggs in them.. I trashed them though,... cant bring myself to eat fish eggs....These were caught in the james river, right below the dam on springfield lake.. Its as far as they can go upstream for the spawn. So they all pool right there on years when the water is high enough for them to make it all the way from tablerock..

I never thought about them making it that far upstream, everyone I know goes spoonbilln down around Capefair.
Smart move with the eggs, in the state of Mo. Spoonbill eggs may not be transported, bought, sold nor offered for sale.
Also the state record was caught in 2002 on the James River Arm of Table Rock Lake, weighed 139-pounds, 4-ounces.

Sorry for being so long winded but having grown up in the area has made fishing a topic of interest for me.
