My mantis!

Hey all!

I got my mantis today! He is a cute little green bugger about 2-3 inches long...the LFS owner said he is the most aggressive mantis he has ever dealt with too and was fairly happy to see him go I think. He punched through two nets on his way out though and seemed a bit stressed his first hour or so in the tank but seems to be doing a bit better now. Will post pics in a minute but I fail at photographing him so far.

Anyone have an ID for him? I'm curious to know what species he is for sure...

From the coloration I would guess female Gonodactylus chiragra; but a better picture would be useful.

I will try to get a better picture of him/her when I can.... I was thinking it was this one

due to the light green color and he/she does have some small white spots on its back... it also has some red coloration around its tail and sides.

Does the meral spot have red streaks around the edge? This is apparently a species characteristic.

I will try to check when I get home .... it found a part of live rock to set up a hole in so I havent seen him/her in the open much since then. Once I do and find out how to take a better picture through acrylic I will do so.
