My MP 60s

Hi.. Need some assistance. My MP 60s are less than a year old. I run them most of the time at half to a third of full speed. Today when I put them at full speed; they keep shutting off (red blinking light) I shut them off and push back on and they work for few minutes then off again?
What needs to be done ? Pls advise and thanks

Osama,

Are the pumps flashing red and any other color combination? If so, I would recommend giving your wetsides a very good cleaning to ensure they are spinning freely. If you continue to have issues, please make sure you are using the correct dryside spacer for your aquariums wall thickness.

Thanks Alex. I had to reduce their speed to half speed for now. I think they were falshing red no other color. If I take the wet side to clean I am afraid the the dry side will fall and I am not sure I will be able to reach down over the canopy to re-position it. I'll give it a try as I need to be able to clean the wet side. The dry side is NOT well secured. Matt Jensen recommended that next time the dry side fall off that I remove the spacer altogether

Today one of them flashed red & green Then I reset it and second time same one flashe red white green and reset itself????

Alex, today EcoTech will be receiving Three of my five MP60s to diagnose and fix and hopefully the cost will not be outrageous. Two more will be sent after I get back the three I sent ... They lasted three years in total then bang, one after the other are failing on me.... Hoping the repairs will get them back to last for several more yrs? as they did do a good job for my tank. Pls let me know if you hear from the shop or any thoughts you might have as I would love to have my pumps functioning for few more years and hoping for a reasonable repair costs
