my mushrooms don't grow

I have had some red mushrooms in my tank for almost a year and they seem perfectly healthy but they don't seem to get bigger, is it possible they are the kind that don't get big or maybe I need to put them in a better location. I always hear that mushrooms grow in even the worst tanks but mine don't seem to.

do you have pictures? I have some mushrooms (green & haory/fuzzy looking) that open all the way and seem happy where they are, but like yours, don't grow bigger nor do they bud like my others.
Maybe it is just species that grows S....L....O....W!

Mine really seem to like lower flow, all my mushrooms were just staying the same size (pretty small) and not growing until I put them in a lower flow area near the bottom. Take one of yours and put it in a low flow spot and see how it does (if it's easy).
