Been setup just a couple weeks now. Transfer over from my 20L, which was a transfer over from the survivors of my 29 which crashed.

Here's a shot of the overflow a put in....

And for reference here's the 20L

And the 29...(which I really, really miss).

Any thoughts or comments on the new setup??

Very very nice. I think its weird, the majority of my coraline is more pink in color than purple when yours is a really dark purple. But my rocks have only been in the tank for a year so they havn't fully matured. Those clowns look really good, but just to make some constructive critisism, i think your tank now could use some yellow or greens, just some lighter colors. But I hope my tank looks half as good as yours, very nice job. Why did your 29 crash?

sorry for a double post, but I was just wondering if you could post some specs, and is that overflow a black PVC pipe halfed, pretty ingenious.

Billy1234, the lighting on the 20L was a 250watt 20k XM.
(The 10 has a 96watt pc, and the 29 had a 250watt 10k ushio, with 150watts vho actinic).

Henry22, thanks for the comments. Yeah I still have lots of items I want to add and a few I'll have to move around/possibly get rid of.

The 29 crashed (I believe) because of the heater breaking in the tank. I did dozens of water changes and ran all kinds of media to clean any toxins from the water but 90% of the corals died off over the following 2 months.

Yeah the overflow is some ABS cut in half. I have a float-valve set in there for the top-off and then the AQ70 pulls water from inside there.

Im curious i cant figure out why do people have some kind of jug on the side of their tank running into the tank?Is it an automatic top off system?

Wow despot I want to say the tank looks great, but your other tank setups were amazing! So sorry to hear about them crashing. Makes me want to ditch the cheapo heater we have in our tank.

Yes, or it's used for dosing.

Do you have any pics of what you mean by "the aq70 pulls water from there"? I'd like to set up another tank at the house, and was thinking about a 10g. I don't know if the ABS was your idea, but I love it! Good job.

Yeah the abs was my idea... (probably the best idea I had on the whole setup).

Here's a pic of the abs before I glued it in the tank.

And then the Aqua-Clear70 just sits on the back of the tank and draws in it's water from inside the overflow.

Got to pics already tonight.

Here's another fts, a few things got moved around and a couple other corals are opening up more after the tank switch.

Here's an attempt of a close-up shot of the clowns.

despot, beautiful tank. Can you explain what kind of top off you have on the 10gallon? Thanks

I wouldnt mind knowing more about that too... I need to build a top off thats more reliable than me adding water everyday.. hehehee...
