Hello, im new to Reef Central and thought id would share one of my newest tank builds. Which includes a new home for my ponies.
DIMS: 72x24x16H 3/4''thick Acrylic Divider Tank 120G Made by AA
Black bottom, black back, no substrate.
Sweet custom stand made by family member, thanks man!

I had three small tanks set up at my house, two Nanos, and a 40g frag tank.
It became to difficult to stay on top of.
To little water volume for even the smallest of errors for me.
So i had a bigger tank made to condense these three smaller ones into.
The problem was i had a pair of Picassos clowns in one of the Nanos and a Snowflake clown in the frag tank and the other Nano setup for seahorses only.
The solution.. Divider tank, the Snowflake clown now lives with the seahorses on one side with lower flow. Left side where i keep most my Zoa/Paly collection.

The Picassos live on the other side with much more flow. Right side where its more mixed reef.

Anyhow let me know what you think, its been a fun little tank to try and balance just right. So far so good.

Wow...

Wow...

The tank is very nice...the divider is a good idea...

The stand would make me nervous... 120G water weighs nearly half a ton...No doubt that the 4x4" posts can support the weight, but what happens if something bumps the tank? I don't see any lateral bracing on the legs (Maybe hidden under the base molding?

Good luck with your project.

Is that an emerald crab in with the yellow horse and Snowflake?
I would be afraid it would grab one of these beauties.

First of all, I have to say that stand is Beautiful. I am really jealous. Who built that for you? It's very elegant and artistic looking. Can we get a FTS with the stand? It looks a little rickety, but has anyone ever seen those stupid metal Titan Eeze double aquarium stands? THOSE are scary.

I agree that the seahorses might be a little thin. I saw your pics in another thread and was going to mention. The little yellow one and the orange one are a little skinny, but the big yellow one in the last pic looks great. Did you deworm them before you put them in the main tank? What do you feed and how often? Where did you get them from? Or did you just take these pics right before you fed?
