My New 210 mixed reef

Hello All!

New to the site and must say its truly an awesome place for information! I am in the process of setting up my 210 gallon tank and refugium! Just repainted and resealed it..I am curious as to what type of lighting would be best for this tank setup and where I could find the lights required at the best possible price! Thanks for the help!

Depending on what you would like to keep, you could use anything from VHO < T5 < MH < LED's. With the power increasing as you go up that scale. But each has their pro's and con's. You should read up in the lighting part of the forum.

+1....lighting all depends on what you want to keep...FO,FOWLR you could use the NO bulbs that you usually get when you buy a tank....A friend of mines father in law has a FO and is using the NO bulbs and he can grow coralline algae like no bodies business....it grows and looks like monti cap....I would say you are more likely to be happy with T5 or MH lighting.....JMO
