My new Aussie Elegance #5million

Sorry to start yet another Aussie Elegance Thread but would love some reactions to the condition of this coral. It has been in my tank since it arrived on Friday. I cannot put it on the bottom of the tank as I have some gorilla crabs who are evading capture and they think it tastes just yummy. It is about half way up, sitting sideways towards the back in a 24 inch deep tank. I tried feeding it last night but without much success -- I think I have to try the tickling the tentacles routine. I changed to T5 lights a couple of weeks ago so am still acclimating everyone -- full lights are on for 3 and half hours, actinics for another couple of hours on either end -- mostly the blue look! Thoughts? Feedback?

mine never liked to touch anything when fully expanded, glass/rock/etc....., it appears yours is touching in several places. they also close at night, you feed with lights on when it's fully expanded.

good luck.

There's no place in my tank where I can put it where it will not touch something. It is probably 8 to 9 inches long and about 6 to 8 inches wide. So I am judging from the few reactions that I am getting that this coral is not happy? The polyps are not extended very far -- I bought it online and had no idea it was so big. So it is too big for my tank? Do I need to find it a new home? Can I please have some more reactions???

This is what mine looked like with lights on, it was roughly 15"x18" and when expanded almost touched both sides (front and back glass). of a 75g tank. it regularly dropped buds (babies), i had to get rid of it about 3 yrs ago because i got deployed out of the country and i doubt I'll ever get one that nice again :(
