Do you know the par on the sand where it is sitting? I kept clams under MH in the past but when I move to AI Sol LEDs my clams went down hill. I now have Vegas and might like to try clams again.

Sorry Giovanni, butI did not measured the PAR on my actual reef....:thumbdown
What I can tell you is that my squamosas goes well on low PAR.

Yea I had a Squamosa I grew from under 2 inches to over 8 inches. Under 400W 20 MH bulbs. When I went to AI sold he did not do so well. I though Low PAR and when from 6 AI sols to 12 vegas over my 330g tank. I had always head you cannot give a clam to much light. I now do not believe this. I think at that point I cooked him and a couple others. :(

I think that if you raise PAR slowly, they'll be ok.
The bigger problem is to put LED lights at "100%" on the day one.
