Unfortunately the native birds WILL kill them. People need to learn to clip their wings or put a leash on them before taking them outside. I clipped a baby tiel of mine once, but guess wasn't short enough and he took off with the wind and went way high up in the tree in my front yard. I was lucky to have trained them with perches to step up when it's held infront of them. I had one that was long enough to reach him and he step up for me and I slowly brought him back down and took him inside the house to re-trim his wings.
Here's one last addition to the zoo family...I just got him today from my best friend. He got him for my b-day. Exactly what I needed is a boy cockatiel, he's one lucky guy with two girl friends above...lol
