Yep, mine did that alot. So I feed my Cleaner a small piece of whatever I feed to my BTA first. They are slow eaters!

;)

LOL .... Just experinced this last night. My pepperment shrimp actually walked in and tugged a krill right out of the anemones grasp. I was amazed at the shrimps great strength.

My peppermint waits next to my nem to take some food, so I usually feed him a piece first. Tonight I saw a bristle worm come out of the rocks and take a piece of shrimp out of the nem. Pretty crazy. Jon

like it was said before, feed them first, then feed the nem. thats pretty wild that a bristle worm stole something, mine poke out of the rocks but arent brazen enough ( that i've seen) to steal from the nem. i always thought the nem would grab the shrimp and eat it, but thats not the case with my btas. they will get right on top of its oral disc and get right off without a problem.

Frankly, I think the loss of a cleaner shrimp would almost be worth it if I could watch the anemone get ahold of it.

I cover my anemones with a net after I feed them. Feeding the shrimp will keep it busy, but it won't keep away the clownfish.
