Hello all... I'm the proud owner of a GBTA which is now a week old. I got to say though, the first few days were quite stressful for me
After acclimation, I put the anemone into a crack between two rocks based on the info I read. It was doing great for the first day. Then my female tomato clown finally figured out what it was for. Around that time it shrunk down really small and looked like it was dead. Also reading that clowns can stress out a new anemone, I made a cage out of eggcrate, which around that time it came back full. So this looked like the problem, but then it shrunk again.. so I'm thinking now what.. but from reading I knew not to disturb if at all passable. Plus the clown was so hell bent on being with it, it managed to uproot my cage time and time again. After about 4 days I said enough is enough, and removed the cage. After this, it had shrunk down again, I held my breath and in a few hours was back full... now watching it, it goes in a cycle at around 1pm to about 3pm it does this. I think the hardest part is seeing it in its shrunken state which is quite alarming. Anyway sorry for the rant, I just wanted to share.. and if your at all interested and managed all the way through this post, you can click the red house and view the cam of my two tomato clowns and their new home.
