My new magician zoas are losing their color.

I got a 2 head and a 3 head frag about 3 weeks ago and properly acclimated them like I do all my zoas. I placed them on the sand bed so that I can get them used to my lighting. After a week or so, I noticed they were losing their color. They began to become transparent. I moved them higher, thinking they weren't getting enough light and the got worst. Anyone have any idea where these zoas like to be placed? I'm running a 6 bulb T5 light. Thanks.

I'm signing up for this one. I too lost a frag. Did the same thing. Just went transparent. I had them under 250Watt MH tho.

I have my colony of about 60 magicians on the bottom of my tank. They receive a medium current and are under 4 54watt t5 (2 blue +, aquablue, fiji purple). How is your systems parameters? do you know the light they were under before?

The guy I bought them from had them under 400wt MH lights with blue atinics. My levels are all on. Nitrates and phosphates are 0, mag is 1400, calc is 400, dkh is 8. Am I doing something wrong? I bought 2 more frags yesterday and I certainly don't want to lose them so Ill keep them low with medium current to see if that will help.

Aim for 24" from the light and the sides of the tank if you can then slowly move them up over a few week's once they start to get their color back if you want.

I changed to a 4 bulb T5 light and within a week, they got their color back and look healthy as can be. I'll take some pics soon.
