My new Onyx Clowns

Finally got my new clowns. Bought them from Sustainable Aquatics. Rod's reef was out till late summer and I couldn't wait anymore. Paid a bit more for these but arrived very healthy and took to the ananome after the 1st night. Showing some good black already, hope they get all the stripes. Let me know what you all think.

Not to doubt you or who sold them to you, but I was under the impression that Onyx clowns have black that connects from the second bar to the third bar/tail. Even at this age. Are you sure they aren't true Percs? Either way, beautiful clowns and very nice anemone.

Onyx clowns are true percs from Solomons Island. People just gave them a fancy name and mark them up in price. My true percs looks exactly like one of rod's onyx, but bought them for $20 a piece...of course they were wild caught and didn't have the special name attached to it.

SA has a great reputation. I have a pair of black and white's that came for there and they are very healthy. Your clowns are beautiful. I have been thinking about buying a pair onyx from them.

They are beautiful for sure... I'm trying to find an adult onyx pic from SA (besides the parents) to see how much black is between 2-3 bar. my lfs just got a batch of them in from SA so i'm going to have a look today =)

Dang....mine are barely getting their third strip but the black on the female has not filled in yet between any stripes.
