This huge blue carpet anemone came in our coral shipment from Indonesia. We ran out of room in our holding tanks so I put it in my show tank (reluctantly). The clowns instantly took it as their home- feeding it, cleaning it, etc.
I guess I'm keeping it now . I've been hand feeding it krill directly next to the mouth. It instantly recognizes it as food and closes up. After a minute or 2 it opens back up and looks more inflated. Not my first carpet, but the first one I actually want to keep.
One of the guys in our local club breeds them, I have a pair of his stock and they are great little guys. He introduces all of his stock to anemones fairly early so almost all in our club that have them will host in whatever anemone you have in your tank.
