My new true perc

Hey guys sorry i dont have picture but my camera broke, so ill do the best to describe, i bought a true perc about a week ago and after i brought him home i noticed that he had a little white bumb almost a rash looking thing on his chin, he is still eating and looks overall great..i was wondering what this could be any idea?

oh and i forgot to say the bump has consitantly gone down every day to almost nothing now..could this have occured during shipping? and it is a WC true perc

does it come off the chin or is just white in the area? my male percula has that right now. I'm also interested at what it is

It sounds like a Fungus to me.If I were to treat it I would treat with Maracyn Plus.

Is he wild caught? Some wild caught percs seem to go a little crazy in confinement, and will rub against the glass until their chin gets sore.

Yea, wild caught occs and percs are just goofy, imo. They really seem to need a nem to settle down.

You should QT this fish. Sounds like it could be the begging of Brook to me. That's exactly what happen to a pair of wild caugh Onyx Percs i picked up a month back...Treat with formalin, and also treat for infection as well, just to make sure.
