My Ordered Set-up - miss anything?

Hi,

Wanting to get back in the game, been many moons, but I am building a home (will take 15 months, still permitting), so I bought a smaller tank to play before putting in two red sea peninsula tanks in the entry way into the new home.

Maybe see if I am missing something, (I am sure I went overboard, but a lot of the stuff could be transferred to bigger tanks in the future.

Red Sea Max E 170 (43 gallon white)
Red Sea E 260 Sump upgrade (for in cabinet)
Apex Controller with 4 probes
Vectra M1 Return Pump
Apex leak detection kit
1 Apex wave pump (figured 1 was good with small tank??)
Apex auto feeder system
HPS 200w heater
5 stage RO/DI for the garage (and heater for it as well)
Neptune DOS system package
Icecap underwater cam

Misc.
got rock (live), sand (live), nets, dos chemicals, salt, tubes, etc.

I am sure its overkill for a small tank, but want to get a good understanding before I go big.

Thoughts?

I've read that the apex wave pumps are quite powerful. I know a guy on here had 2 on his Reefer 250 and had to swap them out. May want to look into an MP10? I'm sure somebody else can chime in on this.

Did you want to do an ATO?

Lots of quality choices there. If I may make one suggestion though, get the size tank you want right from the start. Swapping is a royal pain. Trust me, I've done it.

Thanks. I'll look into the "œsmaller" pump. The upgrade under cabinet system has an auto top built in with 1 1/2 gallon RO tank. Hope that's the same as your suggesting?

Wish I could, but no room in current home, I think the other tanks are close to 200 gallons each. Given the 45 gallon smaller tank, I'm hopeful the swap would be less painful.

You're right, I forgot those has a top off. I even have a Reefer, but I went with the Tunze ATO since it has a less chance of failure due to it having fail safes.
