My peppermint shrimp isnt eating my aptasia

...? Depends on what type of peppermint shrimp you have. There are two kinds that look quite similar. Could be that you bought that peppermint shrimp that don't eat the aptasia. I put peppermint shrimp in my tank and in two days every strand of aptasia was gone.

Thanks for the info. I did not know there were two types. Here is what I bought.

No, the aptsia is not big.

I just googled peppermint shrimp and it seems there is only one species.
Here's the article.

Peppermint Shrimp are opaque to creamy-clear in color, with red or maroon colored stripes running along the length of the body. Often misidentified or misrepresented and sold as the Camelback Shrimp (Rhynchocienetes uritai), these two species are NOT the same and should not be confused. This is the only TRUE Peppermint Shrimp

The camel shrimp is very similar to the peppermint; it can be identified by the hump on it's back thus the name "camel" shrimp.
Your picture looks to me like a peppermint.
Peppermints are not guaranteed to eat aiptasia although from my experience I've always been lucky and had ones that do. Typically a mob mentality works the best by having several peppermints in the tank at once. If you only have one, toss a couple more in and in a few days to a week there's a good chance your aiptasia will be gone.

Is that spot you can't reach visible ? When was the Shrimp added ? It could take time for them to find it.

Yes, I can see it. It's actually right below the shrimp in the picture I posted. I think he's been in there for about 2 1/2 weeks now.
