I have 6x54w T5 Icecap reflector retro. I have 3 Blue+, 2 Aqua blue, 1 GE daylight....Something is just not right.

i only use one MH bulb, and 2 actinics blue
how about your calcium? mine is 440ppm(salifert)

My calcium is always above 400 and my Alk is typically between 7-8dkh. How do you dose your calc/alk?

Horace, you need more light, and I dont mean more bulbs, or bigger bulbs. You need more Par bulbs. You have like all Actinic there.

I'd go with 3 GE, 1 Blue+, one Aqua Blue, and one white bulb.

I think its your T5's, its not as intense as the MH's imo.

i think so

Horace, do you have pics of your montis? you may have pics of their growth

I noticed that the green monti's rim changed from blue to a cream color as it grew - or does the pic just seem that way and it's still blue?

Don't worry, my 3 month old monti hasn't done anything (literally).

Looks really good.

Very nice. I have the same lighting and also dose kalk and my montis grow fast like yours as well.
